A strategy for building a parcel terminal network as an entrepreneur

There's really only one strategy for building your own parcel terminal network as an entrepreneur, and it breaks down into three stages.

Stage I. Installing your first locker

Installing a computerized locker in a public space is guaranteed to bring in $900 a month through the following services:

  • renting out storage cells;
  • mobile device charging;
  • paid Wi-Fi access;
  • a payment terminal;
  • sending and receiving parcels;
  • taxi booking, pizza delivery, and other goods.

Good spots for installation include a city's train and bus stations, an airport if one is nearby, and major metro interchange stations. Business and shopping centers work well too, and there are plenty of those in any city; supermarkets and children's play areas deserve special attention, along with exhibitions and large public events. Markets and trading spots are also worth considering, as are hospitals and dormitories, and don't forget sports complexes either. In short, any location with a steady flow of people is a good fit.

We'll share details on how to negotiate spots without paying for them on request. Send your request to mvkpartner@mvk-mash.com, including your name, city, and Skype for contact.

Stage II. Experience and partner status

Once the first computerized locker (parcel terminal) is up and running, the entrepreneur gains hands-on experience with servicing it and sees the first financial results. And results, in turn, tend to attract more results. This is how an entrepreneur gradually grows into one of our experienced partners.

At this stage, the person already has a professional sense of how to choose a location and can start selling this equipment themselves. They earn a percentage on every sale, and their accumulated experience lets them service the equipment they've sold and collect additional monthly income from every complex installed.

Stage III. Joining the parcel terminal network

Once at least 5 complexes are installed in a city and generating solid, steady income, we connect them to the parcel terminal network. What does that mean? The locker turns into a full-fledged parcel terminal, unlocking another significant and stable income stream: working with both regional and international courier services.

Right now, a whole range of courier companies are building out their own parcel terminal networks, from giants like DHL, UPS, and FedEx to well-known regional players like "Nova Poshta" and similar companies. City residents will be able to pick up their purchases from online stores, eBay, Amazon, as well as parcels sent by other people. You earn a commission on every drop-off or pickup, which can push your income up to several thousand dollars a month from a single complex.

Hard to believe? Then think about how much a single branch of, say, "Nova Poshta" or "Business Lines" earns in a month (for context, some of those branches actually operate as franchises). A parcel terminal is essentially the same as a courier service branch, just without the cost of renting a space or paying staff.
