An order for Kazakhstan's railway stations
We're preparing automated complexes for shipment to Kazakhstan. This equipment will be installed at railway stations as early as spring 2015 and will provide European-level storage security. The client spent 9 months negotiating with locker manufacturers, comparing terms from several companies.
In the end, the choice landed on our company. We won on price: our lockers are among the most affordable on the market, while matching competitors on production timelines and functionality. On top of that, compared to the other offers, we also won because our company is the only one that builds its automation on a full computer rather than a simplified controller.
Technical features of the complex
After lengthy negotiations, Kazakhstan signed a contract with us for two automated locker complexes for two of the country's railway stations. The cells are sized for large bags, and the complex itself stands 2 meters tall. A seventeen-inch full-color touchscreen provides a clear user interface that even someone using this kind of equipment for the first time can figure out easily.
Voice guidance and the interface are both available in two languages, and a flexible admin panel lets the equipment be configured to fit any requirements from station management, from storage rates to maintenance scheduling.
Installation timeline and outlook
All the equipment was installed in record time, which turned out to be another advantage over our competitors. A complex like this can form the basis of a genuinely profitable business, especially when paired with mobile device charging stations and paid internet access points, as we've already done at other sites.
Overall, the complexes turned out reliable and functional. We hope they'll keep running smoothly and serve both passengers and station management well for years to come.
